Susan Budge
Born in Midland, raised in Albuquerque, Susan Budge has had twenty-one solo exhibitions and been
included in over a hundred juried and invitational exhibits throughout the U.S. Her work is in the
permanent collections of The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, the American Museum of Ceramic
Art, San Angelo Museum of Art, Northern Arizona State University, Saks Fifth Avenue, Five States
Energy and The White House.
Susan also has works in private collections in Saudi Arabia, London, and Australia. Recent honors
include: being the Mayors representative for the Cultural Arts Board, Texas Artist of the Year for the
Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts, and best of show for Craft Houston. She has received
grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts and was one of the artists selected for the Brackenridge
Park renovation project where three of her major works are on permanent display.
Ms. Budge currently resides in San Antonio where she is a tenured Associate Professor and head of
ceramics and art metals at San Antonio College.
